NOTE: The PRO and ENTERPRISE NVR models utilize a “hot spare” drive in every RAID5 array. In the event of a disk drive failure, the controller uses the spare drive for rebuilding the disk array to an operational state allowing the disk subsystem to continue storing video without loss.
